I’ve wanted to write this post about the best concealer for mature skin for the past few weeks.
One of the biggest problems women have with aging skin are the eyes.
They easily give away our age, especially when the delicate skin around it starts aging. I remember I got my first crow’s feet at 30, I admit i freaked out a bit but it was nothing compared to how your skin sags once you reach 45 to 50.
The skin around our eyes is 10 times thinner than the rest of our face and body. This delicate area is one of the first to develop fine lines and wrinkles.

As a rule, the creamier the consistency of your makeup, the better it will be at masking your fine lines, wrinkles, and texture.

It is the hardest part, and I feel you! But I have a few tips to ease this for you as well. For starters, if you have very dark under your eyes. Choose a concealer with pink undertones. It will cancel out the darkness. Likewise, always choose a concealer shade lighter than the rest of your skin tone. It creates the illusion of a brighter and lifted under-eye area.

From my personal experience, I believe the best way to apply a concealer is to press it into you’re your instead of rubbing or spreading it on. Your skin is already delicate and does not need a harsh application. I prefer using my ring finger to gently pat the concealer under my eyes. But a brush with a light hand will also get the job done. For a lifting effect, apply on the inner and outer corners of your eye and pat it in an upward motion, especially on the outer corner of your eye.

2. Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer
Okay, full disclaimer, I am not a big fan of the squeeze tube applicator. You end up squeezing out more product than is required, and we all know less is more with concealers.
With that said, the effacerenes waterproof concealer offers sheer to medium coverage. Its formula is creamy and bendable, and those are bonus points, in my opinion. What’s more, it doesn’t cake or crease!
3. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
This one is one of the most talked-about concealers ever. Tarte has it down to a science! and with good reason. Its lovely creamy consistency is opaque, and a little goes a long way.
Having said all that, I have a few reservations as it can be a little drying on mature skin.

Most women prefer a matte finish. But if you don’t mind a bit of “glow,” then this is one of the best concealers for mature skin.
